I don't know what happened to the month of April. I blinked and it was over. I went to Vegas and judged a lap dance contest (ahem, there are videos buried on my iPhone.) I went to Portland for a night and walked into VooDoo donuts at 10:30pm and the place was empty. I flew to Hawaii for just three days. Hello, tuna poke. I spent a really fun Friday night in Seattle. I hung out with lots of Chicago friends, had some quality time with my housemates. Including a 3am cab ride through the McDonalds drive-in with five of us crammed in the backseat. My housemates are awesome people. I spent little slices of time with a tall, dark, and handsome man. Hello, crush. I did a lot of work. I had a lot of conference calls (thank god for my Google calendar.) I was stressed beyond belief. I ate a lot of donuts.
I also packed up my apartment. This was the seventh apartment I've had in the past five years. What is wrong with me wait don't answer that. My belongings are now in storage aka my parents garage and for the unforseeable future I'm going to be a nomad. I travel around the country pretty much non-stop in May for work then will be in Europe for the summer. Bonjour fromage! Bonjour croissant! Bonjour Pierre with your kicky beret and bewitching French accent!
And then I come home, to travel some more. One more blink and there goes the rest of my year. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so incredibly grateful.
