I've got part one of my Asia album coming 'atcha! It feels good to be working in the 6x8 size like I did for my 2013 Project Life albums. Always good to switch it up.
I created a process video but a quick disclaimer that it stopped recording while I was still working so you see about 80% of the progress here. Click play to watch or you can view it on my YouTube channel:
Here's a look at the final spreads:
I didn't quite know what I wanted to do for an opening page but decided to just jump in and ended up trimming down a menu from a flight and added in my boarding passes for my flights to Manila.
The Midori roll stickers are something that have been in my stash for a while now and I'm finally going to stop hoarding them and start using them. I stamped on "getaway" using my Clearly Kelly New Adventures set.
Unfortunately I didn't take many photos in Manila but I do love the little bits + snaps that I have. For this spread I printed out a 6x8 photo I took at the workshop I taught. On the right I included a photo from a coffee shop that I love along with a napkin from there because the branding is so cute. I created a little card using my Coffee Break stamp set which is definitely a favorite.
The "we drank this" is stamped onto one of the vellum sticky notes, which worked out to be the perfect translucency and for layering.
For this spread I included a couple things from the workshop like the Instax photo and a card from my friends at Life Documented Manila. On the right side I have back to back wide Instax photos floating in the 4x6 pocket. I stapled them in with my Tiny Attacher so they don't wiggle around.
In the top pockets I stamped onto the photo with my Shoreditch alphabet and Brilliance Moonlight White ink. The next pocket has a chocolate bar wrapper (made in Manila) that was so pretty I had to save it. I adhered a business card from dinner on top.
The backside has another Instax wide photo along with a snapshot and a journal card with some notes on it. I haven't created a spread for the other side yet. I didn't have anymore photos from Manila printed, so I might go back and print a big 6x8 photo or I might just jump into Vietnam now. We'll see.
The final spread I put together was the shots of my feet. I think this would be a fun idea to keep doing in more albums or even a larger spread in my Project Life album of more shots like this I've taken throughout the year.
I used my Shutterbug kit that was in my shop last month to add in a 4x6 card. I stamped a few things on there with the set from the kit and I like that it's super simple card in contrast with the busy patterns on the floor photos.
That's the beginning of my album! So far, so good and I'm going to keep building on it more this week.

Also, I'm teaching two workshops in Seattle at Impress on Saturday, July 25. We'll be using my brand new Clearly Kelly holiday stamps (sneaks above + so excited!) and you'll have the opportunity to be the first to purchase them. Details can be found right here, hope some of you can come! I'll also have a pre-order for the stamps up in my shop very soon, they're shipping in August. Cheers!
