Ah so we meet again, Project Life. I can't escape you.
Last year I attempted to put together a Project Life album using just Becky Higgins' style A page protectors. I was a failure. You can read my holy confession here. Instead I started my own mini album in a different style. A couple months ago Becky emailed me offering to help me try again with one of her new kits. I was hesitant to waste the product when I wasn't sure the system was a good fit for me.
But one thing she said, which is what finally made sense to me, is to use it how I want. Make it work for me. I think that before I was trying too hard to copy what everyone else was doing. (And who wouldn't want to copy because look at all the cool stuff people are doing!) This time I have a whole new outlook on Project Life. I am planning on sticking with my previous Project Life album to house memorabilia up until my 30th birthday in March. This 2012 Project Life album will be more a photo album... a place to put photos and a little bit of journaling for each week. I want to print more photos I take and get them in there. My sweet friend Liz Tamanaha's album is really an inspiration for this. I bought more styles of page protectors from Amazon and am really, really excited.
So here is my title page:
This is the New Year is one of my favorite songs from Ian Axel. According to my iTunes, I have listened to the song 1803 times. (How is that possible?!!)
I used this cork paper from Michaels that I've been hoarding and an old SC fabRip from Documentary. The butterfly stamps are one of my favorite sets that were in the SC November Tatting add-on. The top tag is one I've been saving from Bananafish Studio with a SMASH brad through it. It's simple but I like it.

I'm really excited to fill up this album but most of all I can't wait to see the inspiration that will be shared from everyone else doing their own Project Life. Please share a link to yours in the comments in you'd like!
